water on the moon
Boston (DbTechNo) - Scientists at NASA have just confirmed that there is in fact water on the moon.
The debate had been going on for years and years, but now it has been confirmed, thanks to last month’s little NASA experiment.
Last month, NASA purposely aimed space craft at the moon and analyzed the plume of dust that rose as a result of the impact of collision.
NASA officials had stated that the collision would send a plume 6 miles into the air, but this actually failed to happen.
Scientists analyzing the plume, confirmed as much as 25 gallons of water, meaning that there is indeed water on the moon’s surface.
“We found water. And we didn’t find just a little bit. We found a significant amount,” Anthony Colaprete, lead scientist for the mission, told reporters
“Having definitive evidence that there is substantial water is a significant step forward in making the moon an interesting place to go,” said George Washington University space policy scholar John Logsdon.
